I’m starting a blog post without a rant. Put away your shocked faces. I took the last few months, mostly, off from blogging, as I knew I would be all over the place this summer, and I didn’t want one more thing added to my plate along with the deadlines I already had. Summer has flown by. I can’t believe it’s august already, but I can’t wait. This feels like 110 degrees sucks! Really Texas, not cool. I miss the always between 50-87 of South Florida. I know this is my usual miserable time in Miami too since August is the hottest month there, and maybe I have selective memory, but it never felt like this. Or so I’m going to keep telling myself.

I’m going to keep the blog short and sweet this week, and put the ball in the readers court. What would you like to see more of on my Saturday blogs? What content are you most interested in? Updates, rants, writing tips, short fiction, or something else? I’d love your feedback.

On an entirely different side note, I’ve spent the entire week my kids were in camp hanging out at a Starbucks in Uptown and I have fallen in love. I have finally found where some queer people are hiding. Yes, they do exist in Dallas! The neighborhood streets are tree lined with these beautiful brick row houses. It has a city feel to it, without having to sacrifice all the space I would have to actually moving down town. There are tons of stores and restaurants within walking distance of everything and I’ll say it again I’ve seen more pride stuff and queer couples here than I have anywhere else in Texas. So when I hit it big with book sales this is where I’m moving.

I hope you had a great summer and are as ready for the fall as I am.

Ever So Madly coming August 30th from Evernight publishing. Don’t miss it.

  1. I like your rants. Don’t stop posting those. I also love hearing about you and your family. I was in San Antonio last month visiting family and my kids were not happy with the heat. They aren’t used it as we live in Michigan. A world of difference. Anyway, whatever you write I look forward to reading.
